Mick Zalesky

Mick was born in Brisbane Australia and inherited his passion to create art from his artist grandfather, father, and uncle. He studied at QCA and has learned from some of the best creative professionals in the advertising industry. He has had sellout exhibitions in art galleries around Australia, and his work has featured in a myriad of articles, magazine publications and has appeared on various TV programmes.
Mick has throughout his extensive career been the creative force behind major national and international companies, setting the image, branding, and design standards for advertising as Art and Creative Director, winning multiple industries award and accolades worldwide for creative, art direction, graphic design, and illustration.
During this time, he also pursued his passion to exhibit his sculptures and paintings, gaining commissions and a wide following for his work locally, nationally, and internationally. As an accomplished artist with comprehensive strategic creative background coupled with technical and material knowledge.
He has created a body of remarkably interrelated outdoor and indoor sculptures, site3 specific installations, artistic projects, designs and paintings for domestic, commercial projects and Government agencies.
He works firsthand from the design stage to completion. Mick develops computer renderings for visualisation before he commences the piece.
Recycling of materials has been important for environmental reasons in his work. Recycled metal and other materials are focused on this work.
Always a fan of landscaping and with a keen knowledge of plants, materials, and construction, he collaborated with landscape companies and developers to design gardens and landscapes employing creative, artistic flair and elements.
