About the Artist

I was born in Brisbane in 1960 and currently reside in Cleveland. Educated at Brisbane State High School and Melbourne university. I have always drawn and painted from a young age and began selling my work while in Melbourne. I was a Major Account Consultant and then a national Training Manager for Yellow Pages back in the day.

My children were taken to New Zealand and so I moved over there in 2001 for 16 years. This is when I began painting in earnest and selling my work. I was well known for my coastal and beachscapes and was a finalist in many art awards including the Mainland Art Prize and the Cleveland Art Awards. I also paint in another genre. Commissioned portraits, contemporary and modern works.

On returning to Australia, I won first prize in the Wide Bay Bendigo Bank art prize and have since sold many works.

I am inspired by where the ocean meets the shore and activity on the beach. My favourite artists are Robert Hagan, who has greatly influenced my work and Monet. I like to call the majority of my works, Romantic Painting.
